Archetypes
The Wardrobe Shrink™

An Archetype is a exemplary model of consciousness. It is an original image or pattern, with particular traits and symbols.
The elements of an individual can be expressed using Archetypes, and this is the method behind the Image Type system. Your Image Type is an archetype and model that reflects the individual pattern that you are.
Archetypes are much more powerful and important than just tools for understanding. The Archetype is an idea until it becomes conscious; then it becomes imbued with emotion and awakens. It becomes conscious when it becomes part of something, that is, when you become aware of it and embody it. This is when it can awaken aspects of who you are and reveal your true image.
One can say that activating your Archetype or Image Type is similar to going into character for a play. Until you go into character, you are not the part, and equally the character is inactive, lifeless, and has no purpose. As soon as you embrace the character, the part that you are playing comes alive, it embodies you, and the character becomes dynamic.
Famous psychiatrist Carl G. Jung proposed that archetypes are a universal language of the collective unconscious - an unconscious that is common and shared by all. One could consider then that your personal archetype is a language of your (individual) unconscious, shared only by you and others with the same Image Type. To become aware of it, is to bring it from the unconscious to the conscious, to make the invisible visible.
There are 35 Image Types, each representing a different model or archetype of the feminine or male psyche. The Image Profiling Consultation identifies your Image Type, and is offered remotely by web and phone.
